I have not tested this application but i know some good alternatives. There are free proxy websites (http://www.proxy.org) but there is the probability to slow down your Internet connection. Other alternatives is to use TOR Project (http://www.torproject.com) or IP Privacy (http://www.privacy-pro.com) software.
